OUR HEARTFELT THANKS
On behalf of Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks for your outstanding support and generosity at our annual 5K & Brunch! This year was especially meaningful to us as we celebrated 20 years of giving back across the island of Jamaica, and we are so glad you were able to join us for this amazing milestone!
Your unwavering support and commitment to our organization help us move closer to our mission of providing access to education for children and youth in Jamaica
This past Saturday, May 30, at the Palais Royale Patio, Toronto’s waterfront celebrated Jamaica's culture and community. Over 100 participants and sponsors joined us for a beautiful day of joy, unity, and fun! Guests received a custom HHJF and Jamaica Tourist Board t-shirt celebrating many years of collaboration between our organizations, a delicious brunch, and refreshing sugarcane juice, brought to you by Daddy Brown’s Kitchen on Wheels! We cannot forget the incredible DJ Ian, who kept the vibes going all morning long.
We were thrilled to present the third annual Denise Jones Legacy Award to Angela Lawrence of Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen / Gusto 54 Restaurant Group, which has partnered with us for many years through donations, campaigns, and activations! We are so grateful for their continued support and glad that Angela was able to accept the award.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our partner, the Jamaica Tourist Board; a special shout-out to Glenor Josephs, our top individual fundraiser; to Mary Bishop for the stunning floral arrangements; our generous donors and to our dedicated volunteers, who helped make this event a true success.
This year, the event successfully raised over $50,000 to support our 20th Anniversary school build, which will take place this July in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. We truly appreciate everyone's generous support in helping us reach this milestone!
If you'd still like to contribute to HHJF, we're happy to accept donations until this Friday at 5:00 pm.
Jam-walk's success was made possible because of YOU. Your generosity is helping break down barriers and create lasting change for generations of Jamaican children.
